Your Teacher
Cathy’s love of teaching dance started in 1993. She has earned Professional Teacher Certifications, and has been recipient of local & national Top Teacher Awards. She holds dance titles, including winner of the Professional American Smooth Championships in 2007; internationally, she won the Silver medal in the Pro/Am American Smooth Gold category at Canada's 2011 Can-Am DanceSport Championships with her favorite dance student and husband, Frank.
Cathy teaches social dance in the Ballroom, Swing, & Latin categories, and specialty dances such as Argentine Tango, Nightclub, and Country. She offers classes at her studio, and seasonally through the Brookfield Park & Recreation Center. She is respected in the dance community, and is frequently a guest teacher for USA Dance's Milwaukee Chapter. Cathy choreographs for weddings and formation teams, and coaches dance competitors.
Cathy offers dance opportunities and events for social dancers throughout the year. She is Organizer and Founder of The Greater Midwest Dance Camp and the annual Couples' Dance Retreat Weekend in Wisconsin.
Cathy knows the benefits of what dancing can do for people, and finds great joy and success in helping her students become confident dancers. She knows that each individual learns differently, and her teaching method reflects that. Cathy believes you can learn and have fun at the same time. And she feels blessed to do what she loves.
On the weekends, you can find her & her husband meeting up with dancing friends for social activities. She looks forward to having the opportunity to work with you in the future!
